It’s really hard for me to believe that three years ago I was sitting in the waiting room at MGH waiting for you to make your arrival. These past three years have seemed to go by in the blink of an eye! I’ve enjoyed watching you grow into the adventurous, clever, and brave little boy that you are. Although, I do miss the time when I could rock you to sleep and cuddle you, you don’t really want to cuddle much anymore.
I love that you finally know my name; it’s adorable the way that you say “Aunt Bethany”. I must remember to record the way that you say it soon before you start to pronounce my name a bit better.
I love when we get to sit and play together! You are so smart! I don’t know many other 3 year olds that can find all the specific alphabet blocks when I ask them to do so (“Ethan, can you find me the letter ‘B’?), or many that tell themselves “good job” when they do it. Thanks for sharing your Superheros with me, I know they are your favorite right now (and I hope your momma doesn’t mind very much that I taught you the batman song).
It really does seem like just yesterday I was holding you for the first time, Little Man, you are growing up so fast!
I know you hate it when I take your photo, but I’m so happy you let me do so (even if I did have to employ some of my little tricks)! I’m sure you must get really tired of Aunty always having her camera pointed at your face. But time seems to go by so quickly, and I want to capture these moments while I still can.
I love you, my little Super Man! Happy 3rd Birthday!
